Anadolu University has a programme named Project Based Internship. The program started in 2012 offers students to perform a project in a company. University appoints an academic consultant and the company appoints a sector consultant for the student to carry out his/her project. During this project, the company pays subsistence wage to student during his/her internship. At the end of the internship, students receive a reference letter form the company stating their project and performance level, as well as a certificate from Anadolu University. Thanks to this program, students gain sector experience and confidence in their studies. As of 2016, more than 50 students took place in this program and some of them were offered a position in the companies when they graduated. This program is not compulsory. It is optional for students who would like to gain a real-time job experience.
